What do I do if my college lost my transcripts?

My old university lost my transcrips. I am trying to go to another college, but If I can't get the transcripts on time classes will be full. Should I get a lawyer? I have called the college they been looking for the transcripts for over two weeks. I don't think it's is right for me to have to stop my education because they cannot find them. So should I file a lawsuit?
