Is an 87 average good enough for nyu?

I had a 87 average on my transcript for freshman and sophomore year of high school. I had a lower average due to problems that I had to worry about in school. I would've done a lot better if I wasn't so distracted. So, would i still have a chance with nyu or what about cuny?
