College Transcript Question Help?

After my first year at SFSU, a California State University, I decided to drop out and continue my second year at a community/junior college. However, I plan to transfer back to another university in the CSU system in the future. My question is: do I have transfer my credits to the community/junior college before applying to transfer or can the previous CSU units I've accumulated count separately to my community/junior credits?
